All Students must have a current book - AHA BLS Provider Student Manual (2020 CPR & ECC Guidelines - located on back of cover). This book is REQUIRED for the class. You can do one of the following: 1) Purchase book from CPRescuer during online class enrollment; 2) Purchase book from CPRescuer during check-in for class; 3) Bring current book to class if you have one. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, then you do not need to purchase one at registration.

Course Overview: The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Course Content:

  • 1- and 2-Rescuer CPR/AED for Adult, Child, and Infant

  • Differences between Adult, Child, and Infant rescue techniques

  • Bag-mask techniques for Adult, Child, and Infant

  • Rescue breathing for Adult, Child, and Infant

  • Relief of choking for Adult, Child, and Infant

Continuing Education (CE) Available! $10

CE available to Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Dentist (DDS or DMD), Dental Assistant (RDA), Dental Hygienist (RDH), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic (Medic), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech), Occupational Therapist (OT), Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Physician Assistant (PA), Physical Therapist (PT), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Respiratory Therapist (RT), Physician (MD or DO), Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF), and National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT).

Students must request CE from CPRescuer at the time of class, state their profession, give their license number, and sign the CE Roster. CE CANNOT be issued after the class is completed and closed.
